FACIAL ACUPUNCTURE TECHNIQUES

GUA SHA & FACIAL MASSAGE

Facial Gua Sha is a technique that involves using a jade or quartz tool to manually massage the facial structures. This helps to unblock any obstructions, restoring movement and improving their functionality. Additionally, by utilizing our body's microsystems, we can also produce a reflex response that can positively impact the rest of the body.

ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncture can create micro-inflammations that increase regeneration and improve overall well-being by targeting specific acupuncture points. However, there is a risk of bruising and bleeding, especially in the highly vascularized area of the face where the treatment is often performed. Although these side effects are rare and not harmful to the purpose of treatment, they can be visible for several days. To minimize the risk of bruising, specific needles are chosen for the treatment.

MICRO-NEEDLING

This technique is typically used after the second treatment. It involves creating small perforations on the surface of the skin, which in turn releases growth and healing factors. This process stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, which is then deposited under the surface of the skin. The repair process lasts between twelve to sixteen weeks following the treatment.

LED THERAPY

LED therapy uses specific wavelengths of light that are absorbed by the skin to regulate and improve cell metabolism. In our cells, mitochondria absorb these photons and promote the synthesis of ATP, the cellular energy, thereby increasing cell regeneration and repair. This process helps to reduce wrinkles, expression lines, and superficial hyperpigmentation.
