About the event
Brainspotting (BSP) is a powerful, focused therapy method that identifies, processes, and releases sources of emotional and physical pain, trauma, and other distress. It was developed by Dr. David Grand in 2003 and is grounded in the understanding of how the brain stores and processes experiences, particularly those related to trauma.
Brainspotting works by accessing the brain's midbrain and limbic systems, which are central to emotions, memories, and survival responses. It taps into the body’s natural ability to heal by targeting where trauma or pain is physically and emotionally held.
This introductory talk is offered on a dana basis and is brought to you by Magda Thé, who is a certified Mental Health Counselor and Brainspotting Consultant.
Pay what you can, guided by mindfulness and compassion.
