About the event
Overview
In partnership with Birth Tree, SITC will be holding a series of essential prenatal workshops designed for all expectant individuals and their supporting partners.
Lasting around 90 minutes, and facilitated by Specialist Midwives in Maternal and Obstetric Health (SNMOH), each workshop will prove to be an essential addition to your prenatal journey.
We are excited to offer a series of four comprehensive workshops, covering everything from arriving at the hospital to what to expect in labor and returning home. As an added bonus, we will arrange a course reunion. After the last mom in the course gives birth, we'll gather with our little ones to create a supportive community for those early days and the months that follow.
Birth Tree is a collective of four Specialist Nurses in Maternal and Obstetric Health (SNMOH) who came together by chance in the same hospital institution. During their careers, they realized that obstetrics could extend beyond the act of childbirth itself. They envisioned childbirth as a collaborative process involving both family and healthcare professionals, beginning well before the actual birth.
Over the years, these nurses have been deeply involved in preparing, monitoring, and empowering families for the arrival of a new member. With their accumulated experience and shared vision, they felt ready to embark on their own project, leading to the creation of Birth Tree. This initiative aims to provide comprehensive support to families throughout the entire childbirth journey, emphasizing teamwork and early engagement.
You'll enjoy small, friendly classes where you can build lifelong friendships and support networks whilst preparing for your baby's arrival.

After Course Reunion An integral part of all our courses is fostering lasting friendships and building a strong support network among participants. To support this ethos, we offer a free course reunion approximately one month after the last mother in the group gives birth. This reunion aims to encourage new parents to establish their own regular 'coffee mornings' and continue providing mutual support.
How to book Please click RSVP to reserve your place. After booking, you'll be asked for payment details and sent a short questionnaire. The workshops are priced per couple, per workshop, and we highly recommend bringing your supporting partner, whether that's your husband, wife, mother, friend, or doula. They will be an essential part of your birthing journey, so this course is as much for them as it is for you. There is no obligation to attend all four workshops
